Helpful Registration Tips Whether you are a provider, supplier, physician, beneficiaryor simply someone interested in learning more about the Medicare programthese instructions will provide everything you need to know to successfully register for training opportunities hosted by National Government Services! This will help to make your overall training experience a positive one - from start to finish! Registration guidance, confirmation e-mails, computer compatibility, webinar instructions, and locating event assessments are just a few items that are discussed below! Events CalendarThe Events Calendar provides a listing of all training opportunities hosted by National Government Services. National Government Services offers a variety of training methods. Some of the training methods include: TeleconferencesThese include Ask-the-Contractor Teleconferences (ACT) and Lunch and Learns. Handouts may be provided for some of our teleconferences. Once registered, the confirmation e-mail will state whether handouts will be provided or available prior to the event. Seminars Seminars are held face-to-face and materials are provided to attendees during the seminar. Webinars To view training opportunities that are offered by National Government Services, the Jurisdiction B Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) go to www.NGSMedicare.com, select Durable Medical Equipment Supplier, click the Go button, select Education and Support, and then click on Events Calendar link. RegisteringOnce on the Events Calendar, click on the title of an event to obtain the Event Details page. The Event Details page provides an overview of the event and allows registration. To register, look for the register button. The register button is located at the top of the calendar, on the right side of the Event Details title. After you click the register button, the Event Description Form opens in a new window. Fill the form out with the information requested. All fields marked with a red asterisk are required and must be completed. After the form is completed, scroll to the bottom and click the next button. Once the Event Registration Form Confirmation page is displayed, review the information on the confirmation page and click the next button. The Event Registration Thank You page will appear stating you have successfully registered for the event and explaining that you will be receiving a confirmation email soon, which will provide with dial-in instructions and webinar instructions, if applicable. To learn about the Events Calendar or to optimize your knowledge of the features offered on the calendar, refer to the Events Calendar Quick Reference Guide at: http://www.ngsmedicare.com/ngsmedicare/DMEMAC/EducationandSupport/ ToolsandMaterials/EventsCalendarGuide.pdf Confirmation EmailOnce you have registered for an event, you will receive a confirmation email from NGS_Medicare@wellpoint.com. This email is a confirmation that you have successfully registered for the event and it contains the information needed to attend the event. The dial-in instructions and web instructions, if applicable will be included on the confirmation email. Below is an example of the information contained in a webinar confirmation email: Please do not respond to this e-mail; contact information for this event can be found in the Event Details field. Print this page for your records and forward to others in your facility who will attend the session with you. Conference Dial-in:Conference ID: Link: Note: If the event you registered for is a teleconference, the web link would not be included in the confirmation email that you would receive. Please be sure to save this confirmation email as this is the only confirmation/notification that you will receive. Webinar System Compatibility CheckFor first time users to Webinars, National Government Services uses Microsoft Live Meeting. Free software is available for download from Microsoft. If you are not sure if you have this free software and/or you want to check your computer for compatibility, go to:http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52354 If your system is not compatible, you will be prompted to install Microsoft Live Meeting so that you are able to view the web portion of the training event. The system installation and/or upgrades are free of charge. Day of the Training EventOn the day of the event, you must refer back to your confirmation email for the training event instructions. For teleconferences, follow these steps: Dial-in to the number provided in the confirmation emailOnce prompted, enter the Conference ID via the telephone key pad (note: the conference ID is also supplied to you in the confirmation email)Once prompted by the operator, provide your first & last name, company name, and number of attendees on the lineOperator will transfer you to the training session For Webinars, you must follow the dial-in instructions above AND you must sign into the web portion of the training. To sign into the web portion, copy and paste the link that was sent in the confirmation email into your internet browser. The Microsoft Office Live Meeting page will open. This page will include three fields: Meeting ID Entry Code Location The Meeting ID and Location fields will automatically have information populated into them. For all DME MAC webinars, the Entry Code field should be left blank. To enter the meeting, click the Join button to open Microsoft Live Meeting. Live Meeting will open up in a new window. Materials and AssessmentsOnce a training event is completed, National Government Services will post (if applicable) the following to the www.NGSMedicare.com Web site, under the Education and Support section: Transcript of Event Follow-up Question and Answer Document Presentation Overview MP3 Playback National Government Services is always looking for ways to improve our education materials and training events. Your feedback is valuable to us in order to meet the needs of the supplier community. After each training event, attendees are given the opportunity to complete an assessment. An assessment email will be sent out containing the link and directions for completing the assessment. Assessments can be completed for up to two weeks after each event has been conducted. These are Web based training sessions. Handouts may be provided for some of our webinars prior to the event. Once registered, the confirmation e-mail will state whether handouts are provided prior to the event. For some webinar events, materials are provided during the training and instructions on how to download the materials would also be given. |
