| Registration Now Available for the Medicare 201 Spring Seminars The Jurisdiction B Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) Provider Outreach and Education (POE) staff will be conducting Medicare 201 seminars throughout the month of May. The Straight Talk with Medicare seminars will be half day sessions and will be held in each of the seven states within the Jurisdiction B geographical area from May 12, 2009 through May 21, 2009. Space is limited so reserve your spot now! The Straight Talk with Medicare seminars have been developed as advanced billing sessions and are designed for seasoned Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers and billing staff. Topics covered in the A.M. Session include: Complex Medicare Payment Category IssuesProper Use of ModifiersIn-Depth look at the Reopenings and Appeals processSupplier Documentation RequirementsProper Use of Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage Topics covered in the P.M. Session include: Proper Billing of Oxygen and Oxygen Equipment ClaimsOxygen Coverage CriteriaOxygen and Oxygen Equipment Coding and Documentation RequirementsQuestion and Answer Session Registration for these seminars will be available online only and you must register separately for the A.M. and P.M. sessions. Cost for the A.M. session is $40.00 and includes breakfast and materials. Cost for the P.M. session is $25.00 and includes an afternoon snack and materials.
