Medicare Provider Feedback Town Hall Meeting
Date: October 29, 2009
Time: 2 - 4 p.m. ET
CMS requests your participation in a Town Hall meeting on October 29, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. ET. The meeting will be held via conference call as well as in the auditorium at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, 7500 Security Boulevard, Baltimore, Maryland 21244.
The purpose of the meeting is to capture individual provider feedback on relevant Fee-for-Service (FFS) Medicare policy and operational issues. By doing so, we advance CMS' efforts to enhance our relationship with providers and suppliers. This Town Hall meeting also provides a venue to allow CMS staff to engage individual providers and suppliers through the following year. This meeting is open to all Medicare FFS providers and suppliers that participate in the Medicare program.

New Offset Request - RAC DME Form
To streamline processing of offset requests related to Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC) overpayments, NAS has created a unique offset request form and established a dedicated fax line to receive these requests.

ADMC for Customized DME Acknowledgement Method Change
Starting October 12, 2009, NAS will no longer mail acknowledgement letters confirming the receipt of Advance Determination of Medicare Coverage (ADMC) requests. Suppliers will be able to call into the supplier contact center 3-5 business day after faxing or 5-7 business days after mailing an ADMC request, to confirm that NAS received the request.

DME Online Learning Center Maintenance
The NAS DME Online Learning Center (OLC) will be down on Monday, October 5, 2009, beginning at 5 p.m. CT. The OLC will be unavailable for approximately one hour.
