Ask the Contractor Teleconference - September 1, 2009
On Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. CT, NAS will conduct the DME Ask the Contractor Teleconference. During this teleconference, knowledgeable NAS staff representing a variety of functions will be available to answer your questions. If we cannot answer your question during the teleconference, we will research the issue and then call you with the answer.

Registration Now Open for Suppliers Interested in Competitive Bidding for DMEPOS
Registration is now open and available to all suppliers interested in participating in the Round 1 Rebid of the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Bidding Program.

Web-Based Workshop: DME Reopenings and Appeals
Are you unsure of the differences between a reopening and the appeal process? Do you know how to request a reopening or an appeal? Are you aware of all the different levels within the appeals process? For answers to these questions and more, attend the workshop NAS is offering on September 16, 2009, on the DME MAC reopening and appeal process. This workshop will provide information on what type of claim errors can be reopened, how to request a reopening and when it is necessary to request an appeal. NAS will discuss time limits for requesting a reopening and appeal, amount in controversy criteria and proper documentation necessary to support your requests.
