Attention all Medicare University 2009 Virtual Convention Attendees

Attention all Medicare University 2009 Virtual Convention Attendees
The Medicare University 2009 Virtual Convention is well underway and we are pleased to have a good number of participants for each course! Below are a few topics from common questions we are receiving related to the virtual convention.
Audio Issues
Audio will be through your computer speakers and begins at the session start time. If you are having trouble hearing the audio, make sure your computer volume is not muted and is turned up. If your computer does not have speakers, check to see if it has a headset plug-in. In many cases, computers have audio capabilities and just do not have speakers. Note: Using the built-in speakers works well but the optimum experience is created when using headphones. For additional technical assistance go to www.NGSMedicareConvention.com/tech.html.
Asking Questions During a Course
Questions can be asked during the entire course's scheduled time. If the course presentation ends before the session concludes, questions will still be taken.Do the following to ask a question during a course:Select the Q&A "?" button in the bottom right side of the screenKeep the default as "All Panelists"Type in your questionClick Send buttonIf you would like a transcript of the questions and answers (Q&A), please follow the prompts upon exiting the course on how to download the Q&A document. Note: Once the Q&A is downloaded, you must double click in the Q&A box and copy and paste everything from it into a separate word document. The Q&A will also be posted to the National Government Services Web site following the conclusion of the convention. Once the Q&A is available, a Listserv will be sent.
On-Demand Playback Feature
The on-demand playback feature for all virtual convention courses will be available for all paid attendees beginning Monday, November 23 through December 31, 2009.
Keynote Speaker
Jonathan Blum will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, November 18 at 9:00 a.m. eastern time. Jonathan Blum is the Director of the Center for Medicare Management and Acting Director of the Center for Drug and Health Plan Choice at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Continuing Education Units and Medicare University Credits
As many as 57 continuing education units (CEU) can be earned at the virtual convention by attending live and on-demand courses. At the end of each convention day, tests for courses offered on that specific day will be made available on Medicare University. The catalog ID numbers for each course will range from VC-C-00002 through VC-C-00059. To report attendance and receive CEUs you must take and pass a test for each course. Once you have passed the test, the index number will appear. The index number will be used to self-report your CEU(s) to the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). Please note: The AAPC will receive a list of all paid attendees eligible to earn CEUs.
All paid virtual convention attendees are eligible to receive 21 Medicare University Credits (MUC).
