Jurisdiction B News: Bookmarking and NGSMedicare.com

Bookmarking and NGSMedicare.com

The NGSMedicare.com Web site recently was revitalized to improve usability. The changes included navigation updates, readability and page layout improvements, and content management enhancements. Due to the revitalization, the underlying technology that supports the content has changed the page URLs. This means that any bookmarks set prior to October 12, 2009, probably will need to be rebuilt. In addition, bookmarks set after October 12, 2009, may need to be rebuilt in light of the instructions below.
The most effective method for building bookmarks on NGSMedicare.com is by using the Bookmark Page button found at the tops of most pages on our site. You may be accustomed to using the bookmarking feature found in your browser. However, that feature will not capture all of the technical detail required to set a bookmark that will be reliable when you need it.

Bookmarking Instructions

To effectively bookmark a page it is important to have fully established your criteria when you first came to the site. You will know your criterion has been fully established if the Criteria information is completely filled in on the page.

Next, locate the Bookmark Page button in the upper-right corner of the page.
Fig. 2: The Bookmark Page button is circled.
Click the Bookmark Page button shown in figure 2. Internet Explorer users will see the Add a Favorite dialogue box. Firefox users, will see a New Bookmark dialogue box.

In either case, rename your bookmark to an appropriate name and then define where you want to store it. Once you have named the bookmark and selected the storage location, select the Add button to complete the bookmark process.
Congratulations! You have just created a new bookmark that will remember your criteria (fig 1) every time you use it.
