| The E-Commerce Connection Effective immediately, National Government Services will discontinue publishing the quarterly Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) on-line newsletter, the E-Commerce Connection . The E-Commerce Connection was created to provide information specifically geared towards electronic submitters, software vendors, billing services and clearinghouses. Over 98% of the claims that are received by National Government Services, the Jurisdiction B Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) are sent electronically. Because most suppliers are now electronic, Jurisdiction B no longer felt the need to provide a separate newsletter for this target group. National Government Services will continue to provide EDI articles through the Listserv, Web site and in the EDI section of the quarterly bulletin, the Jurisdiction B Connections . Adding EDI related articles to the Jurisdiction B Connections will provide DME MAC suppliers one newsletter that contains all updated information. All previously published copies of the E-Commerce Connection are still available on the National Government Services Web site. The last publication is January 2009 and can be viewed using the following link:http://www.ngsmedicare.com/NGSMedicare/DMEMAC/NewsandPublications/Ecommerce/Connections.aspx All future EDI articles will be included in the Jurisdiction B Connections, beginning with the June 2009 publication. |
