| The Jurisdiction B Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC) Provider Outreach and Education (POE) staff will be conducting Medicare 201 seminars throughout the month of May. The Straight Talk with Medicare seminars will be half day sessions and will be held in each of the seven states within the Jurisdiction B geographical area from May 12, 2009 through May 21, 2009. The Advanced Billing seminars are designed for seasoned Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers and billing staff. Topics covered in the Advanced Billing seminar include: · Complex Medicare Payment Category Issues· Proper Use of Modifiers· In-Depth look at the Reopenings and Appeals process· Supplier Documentation Requirements· Proper Use of Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage Registration for these seminars is available online only.
