    Improving Your Search Experience
As we shared earlier this week, we have taken steps to enhance the search experience on the NGSMedicare.com Web site. Today s communication examines two specific changes to the search features and provides some tips on how to capitalize on these enhancements.Business Type Drop-Down
The first change to the search functionality is the introduction of a Business Type drop-down to better filter your search results. Now, when you initiate a basic keyword search, instead of getting results from all lines of business you receive results for only the business type you selected in the drop–down menu next to the search field. See figures 1 and 2 below.Figure 1: Basic Search on the Home Page

Once you perform a keyword search, you will be presented with a second key enhancement, which is our improved Search Results page. The list below highlights these improvements, which are illustrated in Figure 3.A Search Tips link provides quick access to some helpful instructions on how to use special search features to help you find the results you desire.A line repeats back to you the terms of your search, most important the business type under which your search was performed. You can now move from page to page within the results from the top of the page in addition to the bottom. We have introduced synonyms to the search experience which provides alternative methods for further refining your search results. We ve also categorized the results based upon where the content resides in our global navigation structure. For example, content located under the Coverage menu in our global navigation will be listed under the Coverage category in your search results.A specialty category titled What s New was also added and will display articles we publish to the What s New section of our site.Located next to each category heading is a link that allows you to hide all other category types for your search results and view only the results to that category. Once the categories are hidden that link converts to a new link that, when selected, will allow you to once again view all of the categories you hid .Figure 3: Search Results Page
Please feel free to give the newly enhanced search function at www.NGSMedicare.com a thorough workout! Your opinions and feedback are welcome by either participating in our preferred method of feedback—which is the ForeSee Results survey presented on our site, or by completing the Site Feedback form located on every page in the global footer.
