| National Government Services, the Jurisdiction B DME MAC would like to notify the supplier community of a change to the 2009 Medicare Convention. A number of anxious suppliers have been contacting us with questions for this much anticipated event. Due to the final Medicare administrative contractor (MAC) jurisdiction awards and protests currently being reviewed for Medicare Part A and B, National Government Services has determined there would not be adequate time to develop the high quality convention that our suppliers are worthy of receiving. Therefore, National Government Services will not be hosting a national convention in 2009. However, face-to-face Medicare seminars will take place later in 2009. These seminars will occur in each of the seven Jurisdiction B states and will consist of a variety of topics that will be key to the supplier community. Listserv messages will be sent advising of the dates and locations of these seminars so be sure you are signed up for our Listserv. If you are not currently signed up, go to www.NGSMedicare.com and click on the "Listserv Sign Up" link in the upper right hand corner of the page. You should then scroll down and click on "Join Durable Medical Equipment Suppliers Listserv". National Government Services plans to host a national convention once again in 2010! Please note that the previous dates, August 24-27, 2009 may be taken off your calendars for now. Watch for future Listservs announcing final dates and locations for the 2009 face-to-face Medicare seminars.
