Effective January 2009, DME MAC A may respond to your written inquiry by telephone depending upon the complexity of the inquiry.If DME MAC A responds to your written inquiry by telephone, we will first follow an authentication process even though the written inquiry contains the required data elements.We would like to remind you of the following general information related to written inquiries:NHIC will respond to your inquiry either by letter or via a telephone call within 45 business days.
