Incorrect CO-97 Denials for Oxygen ContentsNHIC, Corp. DME MAC A has identified incorrect denials for 2009 oxygen contents claims billed for beneficiaries who had reached the 36 month payment cap. The specific Remittance Advice Claim Adjustment Reason Code message that was generated as a result of these denials is as follows: CO-97 - "The benefit for this service is included in the payment/allowance for another service/procedure that has already been adjudicated."DME MAC A is currently in the process of identifying all affected claims and corrections will be made within the next few weeks. It is not necessary to take any action at this time.We appreciate your patience while we make the necessary corrections to the affected claims.
